Fequently Asked Questions:
What is the idea behind RecordStudio?

Just increase your musical productivity.
Why isn't the 1st Generation iPod Touch supported?
On the 1st Generation iPod Touch there is no possibility to get an input-signal. You can't
insert a microphone or a headset, so there is no way to record audio tracks.
How do I distinguish between iPod Touch 1st and 2nd Generation?
The iPod Touch 1st Generation has no volume controls on the upper left side.
What Soundfomats are supported by RecordStudio?
As instrumentals for importing into the App there are these formats supported: .AIF, .M4A and .MP3.
These types of files can be downloaded via the built-in 'Download' web browser and uploaded via WiFi.
The file format of the recordings is .AIF in 44.1 kHz, 16Bit (CD-quallity).
Note: On the iPhone you may experience dropouts with huge uncompressed files (.AIF). Our advice is to use compressed files (.M4A, .MP3) for long intrumentals and short uncopressed files (.AIF) for soundfiles to be looped, for a clean matching loop.
Why don't I / can I hardly hear existing tracks while recording on the iPhone, if no headset or headphones plugged in?
If you use the iPhone without headphones/ a headset plugged in, it starts playing via all speakers. To avoid feedback and interference during the recording, only the iPhones receiver-spearker is playing back while recording. In that case the speakers close to the microphone are not active. So the signal, if you don`t hold the iPhone up to the ear, can be soft or partly even so quiet that the signals are hardly hearable.
We recommend to use the headset or normal headphones (by usage of the integrated microphone) when recording on iPhone.
What inputs are supported?
On the iPhone there are 3 ways to record, the build in microphone (optimally combined with your favorite headphones), a headset
or an external microphone. Notice while recording the only output is the ear speaker
to avoid feedbacks.
On the iPod Touch you have to use a headset to get an input, it has no build in microphone.
How to rebuild songs on the Computer from RecordStudio?
